The Kashi Vishwanath Temple

Shree Kashi Vishwanath is one of 12th Jyotirlinga and 9th no. on the western bank of river Ganga.  As the name stand Kashi (old name of the city Varansi). As per the history record varansi  is the oldest city of the world and very much interconnected with Hindu Culture. The Name Kashi – Vishwanath (the lord of universe) Shree Bholenath people used to called the city as “Bhole Nagri”.

People of varansi are very much cultural and much devotee of Lord Shiva.  As it is very much ancient city on earth, there are very large number of temples has existence.

There are major temples of Lord Shiva (Kashi Vishwanath), Lord Hanuman (Sankat Mochan), Maa Durga (Durga Kund), Saint Tulsi Daas (Tulsi Manas Mandir), Sarnath (where Gautam Buddha first taught the Dharma), Maa Sheetla (Sheetla Ghat). The Ganga a sacred place to bath at special occasion like Amawashya, Purnima the holy occasion of the Hindus rituals)

I was very much impatient to visit the temple since long time, but unfortunately there was no schedule and one saying “If Lord Shiva will call, then only you can meet them”.

This time I decided to visit and luckily my Jiju (Mr. Sunil Chaubey) also supported me to fullfill my wishes. And I started my journey very early morning @8:00 O’clock and by running my bike 50 k.m we reached at River Ganga and took bath over there. After the bath we visited Shree Kashi Vishwanath temple and took darshan, I was very much blessed with Lord Shiva. After Darshan we decided to visit the place Maa Durga Temple (Durga kund) it’s very much ancient story of king where Maa Durga helps him and stayed forever. The next we decided to visit the most famous and ancient Hanuman Ji temple (Shree Sankat Mochan) and Shree Tulsi Manas Mandir where Saint Tulsi Das Ji wrote his very much famous and ancient epic “Shree Ram Charit Manas”.

I was not even aware of there is one more temple of Shree Lord Siva (the new Kashi Vishwanath Temple) at campus of BHU (Banaras Hindu University) the one of oldest university.

We enjoyed very much and even we were no ready to leave the holy place. I hope people should visit the place once in the life.

May Lord Shiva give you prosperous and healthy life…

Here are some pics which I am sharing with you, I hope you will like it..

The Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar Darshan

One of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India, the lingam at the Mahakaleshwar (Third Jyotirlinga) is believed to be Swayambhu (born of itself) deriving currents of power Shakti) from within itself as against the other images and lingams which are ritually established and invested with mantra-shakti.

There are many more ancient stories based on The Mahakaal. It is located in the holy city Ujjain located in M.P (Madhya Pradesh) state. In the ancient story Lord Krishna was also having desire to visit that holy place. The he visited with his Guru (Muni Sandipani).

There is Ashram called Sandipani Muni Ashram, the place where Lord Krishna and his beloved friend Sudama got his childhood education. That is very much holy and auspicious place we visited over here.

We started our journey from Avantika Express; from night, Avantika is also one of the ancient name of Ujjain. We reached at Ujjain at morning and took some rest and then went for Shree Mahakaal Darshan. Awesome Shrine, really I was amazed to visit the temple and location over there.

There was really something magnetic power which was attracting us to stay some more day but we were having lack of time. We visited the place called Mangal Grah Temple, Bhairao Nath temple and so many places.

We took our food at night around 9 O’Clock and our journey continues to the next Omkareshwar and Mamleshwar Temple(Fourth Jyotirlinga). We reached at Ujjain Station and again our train was from Ujjain to Omkareshwar). We reached in very early morning and took some hot tea (as there was cold as we were not expected), then we started our journey with the people who also were coming to the same place.

We reached at Omkareshwar, there is mountain called (Omkar Parwat), As per the ritual we should first go around and then take the Darshan. We started our journey for Omkareshwar Parwat Parikrama. It took around 3 hours to reach us at the Omkareshwa Temple.

But our journey was so interesting and happy because we saw so many places within that and Old temples (Big Hanuman Ji, Old Shiva Linga) and the best was all over around there was Shirmad Bhagwad Gita wriiten on stone, so while moving you can also enjoy the Gita also.

We reached at temple and took the Darshan and again we crossed the river by boat and come to the place (Mamleshwaram) as both are considered as a same Linga.

It was very much enjoyable and memorial Trip with Arvind Ji, who managed things in very short but memorable and thanks to Mr. Deepak Kushwaha (Deepu) to manage us to stay there at Ashram (Chardham).

Really we will never forget this memorable journey in our life.
